It’s such fun following your website to see what the next giveaway is! You have such unique projects to be completed. It would just be fun to shop in your sewing room cleanup area! You must enjoy making people happy because you’re doing a great job of it! Good luck to the next lucky recipient!
Thanks, Nancy! Doing these giveaways has been satisfying on several levels. One, we’re slooooowly cleaning up projects that ought to be made by someone — just not by us. Two, we’re having the fun of sending something great to one of our readers. Three, we get to hear all the great ideas people have for using these blocks.
The bear paws & pine trees are so beautiful. I’d like to won them.
I’m just tackling my first quilt, for my first,(due December9th) great granddaughter! So excited, and I would

Wow! It’s dangerous to view quilt patterns! I get the urge to go into my sewing room and start a project! I love the bear claw and the tree patterns! As a retired nurse I now have time for more quilting. My husband always asks who gets my latest completed project and I tell him that I need to be surrounded by my beautiful things for a while before I pass them on as heirlooms. I’d love to receive those quilt blocks! Thanks for the opportunity to receive them. I can guarantee the blocks will not become U.F.O.’S!!
It can be hard to give away something you’ve just made that’s really wonderful!
Love both blocks ,perfect to finish for charity quilts
It is amazing to me how you get those corners so straight. I’m an ole lady trying to learn to sew. I keep trying my stuff has no rhyme or reason but it is fun and relaxing to me to go and sit in front and just sew pieces together. Now I do not enjoy cutting them all by hand and they are not always even. But I will keep trying. Maybe I will get chosen and it will have some directions. So I can learn.
We have to confess that those straight corners weren’t ours. We bought these blocks on eBay many long years ago, and don’t even know who made them so beautifully.
I took 5 times to get this comments section to let me add one. So here it is i really want to win. I can get my mother in law to help me.
Sorry it was so hard to comment, Barbara.
I’ll bet I could find a use for these pretty blocks 🙂
Oh my – the colors you used in the bear paw blocks are wonderful! So autumn-like! How can you part with them?? What you really need to do is add another room to your craft studio … then you’ll have space for everything, and won’t have to part with your beautiful quilt blocks! Who needs a guest room, anyway??!! ;o) …just kidding!!…
Love both bear law and pine tree pattern

These blocks are perfect for a quilt we are making for our little cabin in the mountains of NC. Our land backs up to the National Forest and we have all types of visitors all the time. This block reminds me of the visit from a bear. Our little dog took off barking at it and quickly turned around with his tail tucked under. We, of course, retreated to the cabin until it was gone. How perfect to have a bear paw quilt block with the trees that surround our little cabin. Thank you for the chance. I’m new to your site and have enjoyed reading all the information that you provide.
I have always loved the Bear Claw patters and have a special file folder for this block but I have never made one. I could finally have a Bear Claw quilt and would put the tree right in the center or center right of the pattern. At my age, my bucket list is longer than the light of the day. So this would give me a real head start. Fingers crossed.
I love those quilt blocks so very much ! I would add them to a quilt I’ m making for my Grandson. He is a avid hunter , and we live in Cypress Hills Park. We are surrounded by pine trees. Those blocks would cover off him and also myself.
Thank you if I am chosen.
Love the neutral colours in these blocks. They’ll make a lovely quilt. Fingers crossed!
These blocks would make a fabulous fall quilt with a cozy flannel backing.
And thank you for your generosity, you are too kind !
Love the bear claw one. So pretty
I am new to quilting. The line tree block is great because line trees are our family symbol.
I have made two quilts so far and am enjoying the process. Taking a class also. If I won these bear and tree blocks, I would make a quilt for my brother-in-law who not only collects bears, but is an amazing care giver to his wife (my sister) who has advanced Alzheimer’s. He would probably use it in his motor home. He bought the motor home so he can travel with my sister and feed her in privacy.
Thank you,
Jenny
I love that she shares her room with her bad dog, Marcus.
I love these bear paws. I have yet to make one. I would love to put these into something for my son. He and his wife reenact civil war. I have made him a twin quilt and a king sized quilt when he got married both out of civil war fabrics.

I’ve the blocks. I’m making a quilt for my oldest son. These would fit perfectly.
These would be perfect with the wildlife quilt that I’m putting together. Just what I was looking for to finish. Thanks for the opportunity to win.
I love these blocks; they remind me of what I love so much-the mountains and my family! In her lifetime, my mother must have pieced hundreds of quilts. I can’t remember a time when she did not have one “in the works”. My favorite that she gave me is a crazy patch quilt. I treasure it dearly. She gave each of her seven daughters and four sons seven pieced and hand-quilted quilts for their weddings. We also went camping often as a family and the bear claw and pine tree quilt blocks remind me of that as well. What a treasure that would be! I already can see it all quilted in my mind. Thanks for this chance!
I love these patterns. Thank you!
