I’d love to receive those quilt blocks! Thanks for the opportunity to receive them. I can guarantee the blocks will not become U.F.O.’S!!

  7. It is amazing to me how you get those corners so straight. I’m an ole lady trying to learn to sew. I keep trying my stuff has no rhyme or reason but it is fun and relaxing to me to go and sit in front and just sew pieces together. Now I do not enjoy cutting them all by hand and they are not always even. But I will keep trying. Maybe I will get chosen and it will have some directions. So I can learn.

  21. These blocks are perfect for a quilt we are making for our little cabin in the mountains of NC. Our land backs up to the National Forest and we have all types of visitors all the time. This block reminds me of the visit from a bear. Our little dog took off barking at it and quickly turned around with his tail tucked under. We, of course, retreated to the cabin until it was gone. How perfect to have a bear paw quilt block with the trees that surround our little cabin. Thank you for the chance. I’m new to your site and have enjoyed reading all the information that you provide.

  22. I have always loved the Bear Claw patters and have a special file folder for this block but I have never made one. I could finally have a Bear Claw quilt and would put the tree right in the center or center right of the pattern. At my age, my bucket list is longer than the light of the day. So this would give me a real head start. Fingers crossed.

  23. I love those quilt blocks so very much ! I would add them to a quilt I’ m making for my Grandson. He is a avid hunter , and we live in Cypress Hills Park. We are surrounded by pine trees. Those blocks would cover off him and also myself.

And thank you for your generosity, you are too kind !

  25. I have made two quilts so far and am enjoying the process. Taking a class also. If I won these bear and tree blocks, I would make a quilt for my brother-in-law who not only collects bears, but is an amazing care giver to his wife (my sister) who has advanced Alzheimer’s. He would probably use it in his motor home. He bought the motor home so he can travel with my sister and feed her in privacy.

    Thank you,

    Jenny

  35. I love these blocks; they remind me of what I love so much-the mountains and my family! In her lifetime, my mother must have pieced hundreds of quilts. I can’t remember a time when she did not have one “in the works”. My favorite that she gave me is a crazy patch quilt. I treasure it dearly. She gave each of her seven daughters and four sons seven pieced and hand-quilted quilts for their weddings. We also went camping often as a family and the bear claw and pine tree quilt blocks remind me of that as well. What a treasure that would be! I already can see it all quilted in my mind. Thanks for this chance!
