In reply to <a href="https://newquilters.com/giveaway-5-cat-quilt-blocks/#comment-1622">Christine Mann</a>.

I finished my first project...quilt as you go runner. I am very pleased how it turned out for my first try at quilting. HOWEVER, I am clearly doing something wrong with the mitered corners. I am stopping 1/4 inch from the end, turning the binding up with the 45 degree angle at the right and then bringing the binding straight down lining up the raw edges and stitching along the edge. When I flip the binding over it just doesn't lay correctly....or I just don't understand how it should lay. The stitches do catch a small portion of the 45 degree angle. To me, it just appears I'm doing something wrong. Can you give me any advice on this? Are there any videos to watch to help me out?
Thank you for your help.
