Quilting after Enlightenment
This is my quilting version of a Zen saying that goes like this: “Before enlightenment: chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment: chop wood, carry water.” The tasks that go into making a quilt couldn’t be more simple: cutting, sewing, and pressing. But the quilt that comes out of those everyday tasks can be deeply satisfying…
