These stars are beautiful!!! Thanks for the chance to win them 🙂
I would like to see articles on hand quilting full quilts. I inherited an old pieced top and am making rather a mess of it. Use a frame? Or not? I am quilting block by block. I know to start in the middle. I am having a great deal of trouble pushing a needle (size 7 or 8 quilting) through the three layers. I am using Warm and Natural cotton batting. I would also like to have some help dating the fabrics in the quilt top. I’ve been sewing garments and home dec items for many years but can’t seem to “get the hang” for quilting. Many thanks!
Alas, s.k., I am not a hand quilter and have only a limited amount of knowledge about hand quilting. I’d suggest looking at Alex Anderson’s blog. She has done a lot of hand quilting. You might also search for “hand quilting tutorials” on Pinterest or Instagram. Best of luck!

I retired in 2018 and planned to sew quilts. In 2019 my 92 year old mother needed a lot of help and my husband’s health got really bad. In October 2019, I was diagnosed with cancer. Because of all of this I haven’t had much time to sew quilts. I LOVE ❤ star blocks. This would be perfect to get me going again! Thank you for sharing your talent!!!
What a great opportunity! Those blocks are gonna make someone very happy! (Hope it’s me )
These “star blocks look very cheery!!! I’ve never made a star block yet but the pinwheel pattern I’m working on now is a discovery on sewing points that meet and how to reduce bulk. Your blocks will assist me further on this technique on my learning path as a novice quilter. I would finish these blocks to make a cheery quilt to donate to a cancer charity at our local hospital. They will provide me a guide and stepping stone in my personal quilting quest as I learn new techniques.
Thank you for offering such an amazing gift.

I love this star pattern. I still have some of the squares left that looks a lot like those in the email I received and hopefully I win! Maybe it will give me the incentive to continue with quilting,I’d love that.

Such a wonderful gesture, to give away from your bounty!
Very beautiful
Wow, I just stumbled upon your blog, and you’re doing a giveaway that I’d really like to be considered for. As you can tell by my name, I’m a guy. I’ve just begun quilting, which I’ve been slowly teaching myself, to distract from a recent diagnosis of kidney cancer in both kidneys. I’ve just finished my 5th quilt. The first 3, I designed and made 100% from my own thoughts of what I considered logical. My 4th was a king-size quilt from a pattern in a magazine. I sent it to my little sister for Christmas, 2019 partly because I knew she would not be harshly critical of the myriad mistakes! I’m sticking to lap-sized quilts for awhile! My5th I’ve just finished, my own design and construction, kinda proud of it. Don’t have plans for it yet. Being a guy who is loving a creative outlet that is dominated by women, I find myself a bit hesitant to ask for help when I get stuck, opting for internet tutorials or winging it. Hopefully, as my quilts get more complex, such as the blocks you are giving away, I’ll lose my inhibitions about being a guy in a woman’s world! Thanks for sharing your creations with us!
